H2O Tech, have recently partnered with Swedish company Surfcleaner, to introduce their innovative solutions for oil removal and pollution control to the New Zealand market.
SurfCleaner designs, develops and manufactures the world’s first skimmer separator hybrid for the removal, separation and recovery of hydrocarbons floating on the surface of water. From sludge right down to oil sheen as thin as 0.1μm

When water quality is compromised due to oil or other floating pollutants like diesel or hydraulic leakage from equipment in  industrial applications, the contaminants must be removed in order to meet regulations and to protect environmental resources. Surfcleaner skimmer separators work by separating oil and other floating pollutants from contaminated water sources, leaving cleaner water and reducing the need for chemical treatments before the water can be returned to the ecosystem. Surfcleaner Skimmer Separators are used by oil refineries, industrial ports, metalworks plants, industrial wastewater treatment facilities, and mining and tunneling operations to separate and remove floating pollution from wastewater or contaminated water.


Using the SurfCleaner technology will:
•         Remove surface pollution and reduce the VOC’s emitted into the air. This will improve the air quality and working environment.
•         The separation technology can remove up to 99.5% pure oil and improve the circular economy
•         A SurfCleaner is equipped with IOT. It can be incorporated into a scada system or controlled via an app.
•         Reduce the need for additional equipment as the Surfcleaner performs 3 operations in one machine.
•         Due to the principle of the SurfCleaner working with high flows and low pressure, it
has a very low energy consumption. (as little as 20W)
